Edwin Buckham paid Christine DeLay

I take this little nugget from the Sacramento Bee to be supporting evidence for my theory that prosecutors are pressuring wives (See: "Subtle Difference") to get husbands to plead:

In his weekly press conference Thursday, [Rep. John] Doolittle said the Justice Department urged [Doolittle and his wife] to hire separate lawyers because it believes "there is a potential conflict of interest between my wife and me."

I've also predicted that prosecutors will pressure Christine DeLay to get former Rep. Tom DeLay's cooperation.
